Utah #4 in the nation for human trafficking Report

Human trafficking is a 150 billion dollar industry worldwide. The people running these organizations use fraud and coercion to sexually exploit individuals. It's been estimated by the International labor organization that there are some 40.3 million victims of human trafficking throughout the world. You may be shocked to learn that human trafficking is the most criminal and profitable enterprise 2nd only to drug trafficking.

To my disappointment and utter shock, I've learned that Utah is the 4th highest per capita human trafficking state in the United States. Unbelievably this makes you tall higher per capita than California.

For Utah, both domestic and foreign trafficking cases have included commercial sex multiple state prostitution rings. They look for people who are vulnerable for a variety of reasons, including economic hardship, natural disasters, or political instability. The trauma can be so great that many may not identify themselves as victims or ask for help, even in highly public settings.

Trafficker tactics:

Using violence or threatening the person or person’s family members; Harming or depriving the person of basic necessities, such as food, water, or sleep; Making false promises of love or companionship; Making false promises of a good job and home; Restricting contact with friends or family; Limiting freedom of movement; Controlling the person’s identification documents; Threatening deportation or law enforcement action; or Garnishing the person’s salary to pay off alleged debts.

What can we do as warriors to help in this noble fight against these disgusting and sick perverted animalistic criminals? In my opinion, the 1st thing we can do is to become dedicated Instructors and advocates In the art of awareness. Consistently being aware of ourselves, and observing what is hidden in plain sight. To step up and be the protector that we have been training to be. To become a dragon when a dragon is needed.

This effort of course starts at home. Teaching our children both female and male how to harness the power of awareness. Teaching our children how Not to be a victim. Teaching our children

how to be strong and how to appropriately Behave and how to treat other human beings. Teach our children how to live by a higher standard and code of honor.

This is not just a Utah problem human trafficking exists in every state in the United States and Throughout the world.
