Our martial art can be traced back to the Shaolin Temple. If you visit our lineage page you can see how we make that connection. I guess that connection brought me into Zen Buddhism. After all it was a Buddhist monk from India that is said to have taught the monks exercises that would form the basis of the Shaolin Temple fighting arts.  TV shows like Kung Fu was a huge influence on me to follow the path of Shaolin. There is a difference though. I do believe in the principles of Shaolin but I feel new traditions are needed. In our version we are eclectic just as the original Shaolin Temple and realistic in a modern way while as they where realistic for there time period. The fighting arts should always be updated and individualized.
